About Me

Moving to Cornwall

I moved to Cornwall in 2015 after working as a senior manager in the NHS for over 25 years. Over these years my portfolios ranged from performance manager, head of communications, head of corporate affairs and assistant chief executive, picking up a wide range of skills.

In Cornwall I gained retail management experience giving me a great understanding of what running a small business was like from stock control, invoicing, staff rotas and the ever constant pressure of social media posts.

I then returned to my previous 'office life' and joined a charity; originally as administrator but progressed into clinical governance and corporate affairs using my well established skills I gained while working for the NHS.

That brings me to today......working for small organisations since I moved to Cornwall really highlighted to me the contribution one person, with the right skills and attitude can make.  Developing ideas and watching them work for the organisation gives me great satisfaction plus it's great for the organisation I'm working with.  I now offer dedicated business support for micro businesses and specialist governance and Board management support for small charities and health organisations.

Get in touch if you think I could help you - more than happy to have a chat.

In my down time....

I'll be at the beach with the dog......enjoying the Cornish life in general. There'll be a coffee shop stop at some point too...

Beach cleaning / beachcombing  is my passion which I have also turned into a hobby by creating art from beach trash.

Alternatively, I'll be in the greenhouse or garden......
